Project Challenges
The key challenge for this property upgrade at Courtenay Avenue was the existing poor water pressure, which could not support the household’s daily requirements across multiple bathrooms, kitchen, and utility areas. Any solution needed to be compact enough to fit within the existing basement and be easy to integrate alongside other upgraded systems, with minimal installation time and future maintenance requirements.
Project Solution
Dutypoint supplied two high-performance Flowboost® Prime variable-speed booster sets to deliver reliable and efficient water pressure throughout the residence. The larger unit (3 l/s @ 4.5 bar) ensured consistent pressure to multiple bathrooms and kitchen outlets, while the second smaller booster set was paired with a 175-litre ScubaTANK®, an ultra-compact, WRAS-approved water booster set designed to fit seamlessly into the restricted plant room while providing Category 5 compliance for potable water.
To complete the fully integrated system, Dutypoint also provided two Element 250-litre ultra high-performance hot water cylinders. These efficient hot water storage units, featuring 60mm insulation, 3.0 kW immersion heaters, and a high EPC rating, ensured the home met both its heating and pressure demands efficiently – without compromising space.
Together, the Flowboost® Prime booster sets, ScubaTANK®, and Element hot water cylinders formed a cohesive, space-saving solution tailored for this complex retrofit project.
