As part of its refurbishment and modernisation efforts, The Pig Hotel required a discreet, compliant water pressure booster solution to support modern water demands in a heritage-listed building. Delivering consistent water pressure in a heritage building with modern guest expectations posed several challenges:
- Maintaining constant water supply and pressure for guest comfort
- Minimising operational noise to preserve the tranquil guest experience
- Ensuring regulatory compliance, including WRAS and backflow prevention
- Providing a space-efficient solution suitable for retrofitting into the existing infrastructure
PROJECT SOLUTION
Dutypoint provided a turnkey water booster solution in the form of a WRAS-approved ScubaTANK®. This all-in-one package combined a 1250-litre insulated tank with a twin submersible multistage pump booster set, providing ultra-quiet, constant-pressure operation.
The ScubaTANK®’s integrated design ensured a smooth and compact installation, reducing on-site build complexity. The system includes advanced features such as:
- Category 4 ‘AF’ air gap for backflow protection
- Inverter-driven pumps for variable speed and energy efficiency
- Common fault volt-free contact (VFC) for integration with building management systems
- Low-level protection and ultra high-flow inlet valve for operational safety
All components are mounted on a freestanding skid with a stainless steel manifold and high-spec valves, simplifying maintenance and maximising service life.
