Dutypoint’s Contribution to the Water Projects Online Initiative
Weobley Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) forms part of Welsh Water’s multi-site programme to reduce phosphorus in sensitive river catchments. Featured on Water Projects Online, the site upgrades included new inlet screening, ferric dosing, improved sludge handling, and a new wash water infrastructure.
Dutypoint delivered a smart QuadraTANK® system that simplified installation and boosts site resilience. Delivered as a complete package with booster set, insulated housing, and control panel, the unit helps maintain site cleanliness and efficiency, particularly around the new inlet works and ferric dosing facilities. Its WRAS and DCWW (Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water) compliant design ensures it meets rigorous operational and water quality standards.
Project Challenges
The Weobley site had no prior mechanical screening and required an efficient, space-saving wash water booster system to support new processes. All equipment had to be delivered pre-assembled, ready to install, and able to perform reliably in a rural, exposed setting with minimal disruption.
Project Solution
Dutypoint supplied a robust, space-saving QuadraTANK® package designed for compliance, reliability, and ease of deployment:
- Pre-installed twin VR2 booster set mounted within a weatherproof GRP kiosk
- WRAS-compliant tank with Category 5 AB air gap for safe water supply
- DCWW-spec control panel with E-stop and volt-free contacts
- Integrated insulation, heater, light, and thermostat for year-round performance
Delivered and ready to connect, the unit ensures consistent wash water delivery for site operations, including screen cleaning and ferric handling. It supports long-term efficiency and helps future-proof the upgraded site.
