In this video, learn more about Dutypoint’s ScubaTANK® – a WRAS-approved integrated booster set and tank system. See the ScubaTANK® in action as our Technical Sales Engineer, Russ Walliss, walks through its key features, such as the tank’s design, which allows it to fit through standard doorways, and the challenges it addresses, such as flow rates and water temperature regulation, enhancing efficiency and ease of maintenance.

Whether you’re considering upgrading your system or curious about how it works, this video gives you a clear overview of why the ScubaTANK® stands out in water management solutions. Get in touch with our team to enquire today.

Hi, my name is Russ Walliss. I cover the southern region for the specification team here at Dutypoint. We’re here to talk about the ScubaTANK® today. The ScubaTANK® is the original combined pump and tank solution, and we’re able to provide it at 175L right through to

00:17
2,250 L, and that is at category 4 and cat 5. We’re able to then twin systems together, twin tanks together, to provide up to 4,500L. It’s a very practical solution to get into very small spaces. The smaller units are able to go through a standard doorway, and even the larger units. What we’re

00:39
able to do is provide an external flange horizontally across the unit to enable the tank to be separated on delivery, transported down into the plant room, and then reconnected very simply. Some of the challenges that Consultants have reported to us over time is that

00:54
they have some issues in terms of actual plant space on site, so in listening to some of those challenges what we’ve done now is we’ve increased the flow rate into the tank by utilising a fast action motorised valve with a large free area. This enables us to to input around 4L a

01:13
second with just a bar on the inlet. Another challenge that Consultants have had as well is following industry guidelines such as IOP or BS EN 826. There have been occasions where they’ve arrived with too much stored water, so in terms of the actual consumption with water there’s not

01:31
enough churn rate in the tank. So, what we’ve done is we’ve developed a float system in there in terms of regulating the amount of stored water that is now programmable through the controls. So, we’re now able to look at conditions on site, if there’s been situations where the water tank

01:48
temperature has risen, or you know there are periods where the water is not going to get consumed, we can actually reduce the amount of stored water. From an installation perspective, the product provides an inlet on the right hand hand side as standard, and even the discharge

02:03
comes off on the right hand side as well, so also down the side is the Overflow. So, basically, all the relevant connections come out on the right hand side, so in terms of Maintenance you only need around 300 mil on that particular side. Also, as access to the pumps is down

02:19
through the top of the tank, you only need 500 mil to the front. The other consideration would be space above the tank to enable us to recharge the expansion vessel which is something that should be monitored regularly twice a year, and again we allow 150 mil to be able to get in there and recharge

02:37
it. The way in which everything is orientated, because everything’s on the right hand side as standard, or from the front, this enables us to push the unit right into a corner. So, again, you’re saving significant space. If the plant arrangement in that space doesn’t allow

02:53
you to make the connections on the right, we can put them on the left, we can put them on the front, so it’s a very configurable product. Likewise, if you’re challenged in terms of height, we are able to remote mount the controls, supply the expansion vessel loose, so those can

03:08
be arranged to accommodate the stored water, but obviously free up some space. Thank you for watching. If you require any further information, please give me or one of my colleagues a call here at Dutypoint. Thank you.
