Separate Packaged Chambers

Separate packaged chambers allow for scenarios where typically concrete structures would be formed, but packaged off-site chambers provide an alternative system. Opting for these types of systems can seriously help with the contractor’s programme and cost.

Valve chamber

An alternative to valves being located in the pump chamber, a separate valve chamber allows ongoing maintenance to be carried out easily. A favourite with water companies, valve chambers can be isolated and serviced, reducing the chances of entering the chamber.

Flow meter chamber

On restricted outflow or metering applications, a flow meter chamber utilises a flow meter by either measuring or restricting the discharge rate.

Air valve chamber

Located on the highest point on a rising main, an air valve chamber includes an accessible valve to prevent excess pressure of gases and liquids, and stop vacuums in the pipe system that can damage pipework in the pumping system by allowing air into the system. The requirement of these is established in the rising main long section design.

Washout chamber

Located on the lowest point on a rising main, a washout chamber has an accessible valve in the chamber that is used to run dirty water out of a system following repair work. The requirement of these is established in the rising main long section design.
