Case Study - Suffolk Park

Business park booster set and all-in-one tank system guarantees efficiency.

ScubaTANK® - benefits designed with you in mind.

PROJECT SUMMARY

As far as strategic logistics locations go, Suffolk Park is ideally situated adjacent to Bury St Edmunds’ established primary out-of-town commercial, retail and trade location. Based between the A14 dual carriageway and Rougham Tower Avenue (which provides a direct connection to the A14 at Junction 45), this business park is primed for convenient connections for supply routes. The Port of Felixstowe (the UK’s largest container port) is also only an hour from the site.

The park itself covers 114 acres of space and has planning permission for up to 2 million square feet of B1 (business) and B8 (distribution or storage) employment premises. 37 acres of Suffolk Park have been awarded Enterprise Zone status (designated areas across England that provide tax breaks and Government support). Phase 1 and 2 covers 4 separate units and Dutypoint were contacted to supply a solution that would keep the water pressure up across the site.

PROJECT CHALLENGE

The demands of the site are high and it’s vital for the companies that occupy the park that they can rely on the pump systems for reliable pressure and consistency. A booster set and tank solution was required for the four separate buildings to compensate for the pressure loss experienced through the water softener equipment.

The company needed a packaged unit to install on the mezzanine floor to supply water to the welfare facilities. Dutypoint assessed the demands of the site and decided on the best solution that would deliver maximum results with minimum hassle.

PROJECT SOLUTION

The ScubaTANK® was an ideal solution. The one-piece combined tank and booster set could be forklifted into position on the mezzanine and simply connected up – water in, boosted water out and a single-phase power supply. All system controls for the twin variable speed pumps, the water level and BMS common fault signal are all pre-programmed prior to delivery for ease of installation.

As a fully WRAS-approved system, the ScubaTANK® is designed to safely handle potable water in a property and is suitable for the job that it is intended to do. This will give future and current clients complete reassurance that safe and usable water is being delivered.

ScubaTANK® is also designed with energy efficiency in mind to help reduce utility costs, unnecessary expenditure, and environmental impact.
