PROJECT BACKGROUND

Industry sector M&E

Client Port of Tilbury

PROJECT SUMMARY

The Port of Tilbury on the River Thames is a principal port for London that has an annual throughput of 16 million tonnes. The port provides supply chain solutions for a diverse range of sectors, including food and catering.

Checks on food at the port help control the risks to human and animal health. The food inspection office at the Port of Tilbury is a specialist facility that deals with high-risk food imports such as food of animal origin, meat and fish products.

PROJECT CHALLENGE

As such an important enforcement authority, all services at the port need to be at optimum efficiency. Inconveniences on site could lead to issues with internal welfare and could reduce the output which could cause delays.

Dutypoint was contacted by the port authorities to supply a quick booster set solution for the T2 inspection building to prevent issues on site.

PROJECT SOLUTION

Dutypoint delivered a VT booster set to the port within a week to keep operations up to standard. We keep a large range of VT units in stock so our team were able to deliver one to the port when and where needed.

The VT booster set is the ideal solution for any new and retrofit applications and comes with anti-seize technology during low or zero usage to prevent failure.
