PROJECT SUMMARY

New build of an extra care facility on a brownfield site in Pinner, Middlesex. The building will consist of 3 floors, including a basement with living accommodation on each floor. A pump station was required to lift waste from basement level into the gravity sewers.

PROJECT CHALLENGE

The project was delayed due to the COVID outbreak so the contractor was looking for ways of reducing the programme.

PROJECT SOLUTION

The Dutypoint QuikFORMTM was an ideal solution. The 6m deep x 2m diameter chamber was manufactured within two weeks of order and was installed within 1 day on site. Installation involved a simple two-stage concrete pour. No bracing or water balancing of the tank was required during installation.

From a basic brief, Dutypoint selected the correct size unit with suitable HCP heavy-duty 50mm solids handling pumps. The unique design of QuikFORMTM incorporates a self-cleaning benched base which prevents sludge build-up and reduces maintenance, ideal for tough applications with high sewage solids content.

The Dutypoint QuikFORMTM is a quicker, smarter, and more efficient pump station
